Reviews For: Plea of the fallen

This is simply beautiful. I heard nothing about this act of vandalism but i have seen worst forms of misguided protest. Very well done.

Nice poem! The rhyme in it is so smooth, it's almost undetectable, but at the same time it ties the poem together wonderfully.

You're right, the appropriate way to protest was the way many other Europeans and French did- I was so moved to see British citizens, leaving their homes to go out in the cold and protest. I sympathize a lot, however, with the French Canadians (I salute whenever anyone says the name "Louis Riel". ^^'')

Well done!

This poem expresses exactly what I feel right on the button. Very moving and very real.
GoodBye Everybody 2003-10-12 . chapter 1
This was VERY moving! Dear Gott, I didn't know this was happening! It ** me off, especially since my grandfather fought on D-Day to save those French bastards, and this is how they repay them - by defacing the graves my grandfather's comrades? WELL, I SAY ** THE FRENCH! WE SHOULD OF LET HITLER BURN EVERY FRENCH MAN, WOMAN, AND CHILD INTO PILES OF ASHES!

Beautifully Unfortunate 2003-08-21 . chapter 1
This is a great poem. Here we are with France, acting like a couple of idiots! Seriously, with the Freedom Fries and them desecrating our stuff... we're like children fighting over the remote. I know that it's hit my town hard, and it's really much harder to shake it than it is to live it. The students taking French as a foreign language (that includes me) have been banned from activities such as yearbook, for no apparent reason, and it's just... stupid. I don't get it. I got invited to yearbook, but I wasn't allowed to go, the teacher informed me apologetically, because I was a dreaded French Student. Wouldn't it be better if I didn't take French, even though I'm going into my fourth year? Sheesh... some people. I hope that your poem touches and inspires a lot of people to let go of this stupid grudge. Even after the whole incident, I'm still feeling the effects.

Hey,
I finally got around you reading one of your poems (I've been working on my story The Warrior and this is the first chance I've gotten to read anything). I read both your poems...I like this one best though. I don't like war myself...only very stupid people need to go to war for anything. There are always other ways of settling things. I have no pride in my country whatsoever (I'm from the USA myself) I think this country dishonors those who faught so hard for it every day without realizing it, that is why I liked your poem. Those people fought for ideals that this nation is supposed to be based on and for that they deserve respect. Great writing...keep it up. ^-^

i'm very pro-war, but i love ur poem and i'm glad u have some american pride. i fully agree with u about the french painting american graves i agree-it is not fair and so stupid, and degrading to all those brave men who risked their lives to save THEIR country in teh first place
WELL DONE!

Really wonderful. I completely agree with you.

Really great poem. My favorite lines are "I shut my eyes my eyes and died, now you curse my very name". Really haunting. Keep it up.

American soldiers didn't really fight to liberate the French, they simply wanted to invade Germany and through France was the quickest way.
