I, personally, would like to know what it is he is compelled to steal - or where to if you meant to 'steal away' - I wasn't sure. Anyway, I like the word steal. It's immoral.

Two o'clock in the morning is a magical time. The touch of fantasy in the last two lines makes the poem, for me. Most other poets wouldn't have chosen 'flute', not for a forest. I think it's perfect.

Hm. I liked the fantastical qualities of this little poem. It was a nice read. ^^ Keep writing!
