MizSphinx 2007-11-07 . chapter 1
Jeez, I can really sympathize with the speaker...but i must add (from my experience) fidgeting, obnoxious smell, bad eating ways...o.O it goes on...lol but other than that, I like flying in planes...FLYING being d operative word...not FALLING o.O...

Anyhoo, a short good piece though :)

Dawn 2004-12-19 . chapter 1
Travellers from Hell - imagine sitting on a packed flight (heavy snowfalls across Canada meant cancelled flights)between a person who is perspiring his long inhaled curry meal AND on the other side an obese guy who has to have double seatbelts. In the background there is some moron who doesn't have the brains to ensure her infant is sucking on a bottle or teat at takeoff (ensuring the poor kid has blocked and/or sore ears)so that the baby screams throughout the 3-hour flight.
Global Nomad 2003-11-04 . chapter 1
well i've never been seated next to the passenger from hell, i;ve always traveled with family. but yes i can sympathize. i have had that stupid kid kicking the seat though, i was that kid once upon a time...

anyway this is really funny. you were saying somethign about you having problems with your font. if you don't figure it out i'd be happy to help.

Flawless Storm 2003-09-03 . chapter 1
I got sick on a plane once too. The flight attendant gave me a nice little pill that would help me get better and I was out cold for the rest of the flight, but you don't want to hear about me. I truly hope, for your sake, that this wasn't based on a real experience. That would suck, but great piece. I like these short easy reads as much as I like the long ones :) Flawless Storm.
pneumothorax 2003-07-21 . chapter 1
hey! nice ficlet/drabble - in between lols. although if i wrote this i'd put it in the humour section it wasn't really funny. i don't think it was meant to be either, heh. in that sort of situation I think the least the reader can do is shiver with discontempt. personally, i don't have a problem with flying but i know it's hell when you're stuck between two imbociles.

One point, however, that I got confuse over was to how many women there were. It sounded as though there were two.

"I keep waiting as she unfolds a broadsheet newspaper, covering both our laps with grey paper..."

I finally decided that there -must- be two because a travel sick person wouldn't be reading. I couldn't really see the change between description of character as it went from 1 [travel sick woman] to 2[woman with baby] to 3 [miscellaneous] to 1 again. The only other possibility I could find from this would be that 2 is the saem as 3. That's my only criticism [after I've finished rambling about how confused i got].

"I understand, I would cry if I could. But I would look ridiculous-and that wouldn't do."

I thought those lines were great and very well used. It really shows that the subject feels that she's the only sane one in the vacinity and despite the surroundings, is postively to keep it up.

I good, short piece. I can only wonder how long the journey's for ...
