I'm so glad I finally finished reading this! Must have sat here for hours getting through ten chapters or so, but I'm glad I did.
I loved the different story arcs and the way they both tied together; I enjoyed the interaction between the main characters - you created some very interesting, compelling and well thought out relationships and the characters seemed very individual and realistic.
Great stuff!

I think I understand at last Yubro's fascination with horses, since this comes from his early years with Freewind.
Cute. The Deerfriend line has now one more Divine enemy. And I could certainly feel his struggle.
Delightful, as always. Especially Elperi in this last chapter. Every single word by him made me chukle.

Of course, Tirosina comes into scene again.

Hehe. Loved the way he handled Alusta. I had never expected Yubro to talk like this. And I wish Elperi had heard that.

Ah, there he is! At last, Zenion returns. And the tale gets really interesting.

It just struck me: What has happened to His Painfullness? I miss him...

Anyway, I really liked the subtle humor in this chapter. I think that it fits Yubro perfectly.

So, in the horse test vision he failed? I wonder why...

Ah, poor guy. Everyone wants something from him.

Alusta certainly seems more mature than any of them. I wish that Yubro would just listen...

Poor Yubro, I really feel for him. So many centuries of life and he has still to figure out what he will do with his life.

I think that the new woman Councilmaster-person who frowned at Yubro will be an enemy.

I think that Zenion is cool, unlike Quirrin.

I don't like either Irina or Alusta. They should get together sometime and gripe about Yubro to each other.

I am a bit confused. Let's list my confusions in order.

Nystze wanted him ... to create horses?

He spends all night ... sitting by a pool of godsblood and trying to create horses?

He tells none of his friends about the horse-creating ... but he tells Alusta?

Alusta of all people ... tells him to stand up for himself?

Elperi and Kalaer actually think ... that bedding Alusta is better than bedding Irina?

The Councilmaster tried to get the stars to try him for ... not wanting to be Councilmaster?

Many parallels between Yubro and Herran, yet many differences.

1.) Did I miss something, with the Irina thing? An awful lot amount of time has passed, hasn't it?

2.) Nystze ... I could have sworn I haeard that somehwere. (Did it have to do with Somal and Lonaw--I probably spelled that wrong--I have a very short-term memory.)

4.) Is there a reason Anadrel from Starseeker (or was it Starchaser?) keeps on mentioning Yubro with reverence? Are you holding out on us?

Loved Elperi, of course. Poor guy, seeing his friend getting hurt and not being able to do anything about it... His fangs might have itched badly.

AHA! I knew it! Irina serves Tirosina.

And I still do not understand Elperi's motives any more than Yubro does.

And I just love how they continue their mind games even under attack. Excellent.

I totally approve of the River's attack. New trees are always useful, while dear -and burned- guards aren't.

Ah, Somal... *sob*.

Zenion is back Good. *rubs paws*. I was wondering if we would see this Master Torturer in action.

I chuckled by Yubro's description of the suspicion 'making noise" in his head. That was one lovely image.

And now Gingerhead wants a bronklo drumstick... Cute beasts, I must say. And I definitely like Rani. She and Yubro might make a good pair, methinks.

And Elperi was delightful as always. Especially his bickering with Irina.

And I still think that the name *Rabbitsong* is hilarious. I definitely want to know the tale behind it, like the one with the Deerfriends.

Oh, good. Zenion again. I think he's the most peculiar character in the story so far. He's the Master Torturer, but I don't thinks he takes anything -or anyone- seriously. I do envy his point of view, as if everything is a big joke; including life.

*You will address me as Your Painfulness.* LOL! Gingerhead asks if he can use the title. Or, to be more accurate, if *I* can use the title when addressing him (or any other of my cats - damned scratches). That was really inspired. BTW, what's Zenion's family name? Perhaps it was posted and I've missed it?

Now I'm curious to find out what really going on between Yubro, Alusta and Irina. And although Irina seems to desire him, I believe that her motives are not as sincere.

And what the deal with Filaria? This certainly brings the whole situation under a new light. OK, so the Councilmaster has changed the laws. Let's see how long this holds.
