YES! WONDERFUL! SHE NEEDS TO FLEE! GO NOW! Oh goodness, I'm on the edge of my seat, I want so badly for her and Michael to be happy, and for her to get away from the evil people she just happens to be related to, who are NOT her family... family is the people that love you, and poor Meridian doesn't have that. Maybe she'll find it with Michael.

Aw! This is adorable! I really like the effort put into the first chapter and making the characters known to the readers before they get into whatever adventure they will meet later on; it's very important to have reader/character bonds formed, for lack of a better phrase. I like how there is no sun, and I like even more how Michael thinks they've forgotten, that stuck with me. This is so adorable, and I'm going to read more right now...
