Assuming this is true and accurate. I am sorry for your grandfather. Her should be enjoying you for who you are and not for something in his imagination. It is useless to try to change him (I am his age but not as hardhearted) I would encourage you not to take his lectures too seriously. Listen patiently and hug him when he is finished. It could not hurt and might make you both feel better. Better to love than hate even if it is not returned in equal measure. Don aka silvercat.
