That was a nice resolution to your original poem... I liked all the vivid wording and imagry you used. The second to the last stanza was my favorite... I got a very serene feel after reading this. Keep it up!

Before I go any further, let me say that this was a truly excellent poem. It doesn't flow quite as nicely as your other poems, but then again, I'm used to reading insanely good work by you.

In the fourth stanza, you did an excellent job of giving false hope, only to destroy it at the end. I seriously thought the poem would end well. I love the phrase "the chilled finger of death". Awesome, awesome work.
