Nice... I hope you're planning to update soon. Normally I'm not a fan of the passive... but when you're trying to create a spooky atmosphere, it often works.

An entertaining first chapter :) This has all the ingredients for a good haunted house story. The location, the circumstances, the characters – its all spot on. You also put in a fair amount of detail about the house too. Perhaps in the second chapter we can see more of the parents as well as the sisters, and some good family interaction :)
