Either way, this is a very griping story- I can hardly bear to click out of it!

"He saw her as a replacement for his first trainee, Scandal. That had been Scandal, who was also his son. Scandal, who had been his son, had died on his first mission after graduating into the Shadows. The death had affected him deeply, and Chaos doubted he'd ever really get over the loss."

How many different ways were you going to say "his son Scandal" in that paragraph?

Well Stokes,this is a great 2nd part. I like the interaction and relationships being built. Lots of pathos, and still kind of a fresh, wide eyed innocence about them. So, we the readers, are supposed to wonder how the duo got tagged, or is it simply the boss trying to protect young Chaos from the evil lord? Lots of these kind of puzzles to solve. Very good work! Thanks for sharing!

I like this tale, it's a good continuation of the previous one. There are a few plot holes, like time span jumping too suddenly with no idea of whats happened in between, and I noticed one glaring mistake in that you never mentioned the punishment for Mayhem and Destruction after their fight.
Other than that though, it's a good story. With some editing work it could easily become a great story.
