I like this piece too. You essentially are saying to this mirror, its for someone else to sweep because you can't bear the visions it holds in all its fragments.

A more proper category for this poem or poems like it would be angst, just for future reference.
Rhyme: Well, like another poem I have reviewed of yours, this one doesn't seem to use the sing-songy rhymes to support it which is a good thing but also a point eater on my system. I'm going to give it 2 out of 5 because you made some attempt to rhyme.
Rhythm: This poem could also be a modern song. The rhythm does flow, but it flows in bridges at places like a song, which works if you're expecting it but not so much if you aren't. I'm giving it 4 out of 5.
Reason: The theme is very well expressed, but I'm not particularly partial to depressing poetry, even when I'm the one writing it. Taking one point off for having to wince on the last line, 4 out of 5.
Total Score: 10/15, a poem that, while a good poem, is not one of my favorites.

Another necessary read in my opinion. You are a very gifted writer. Hope to see more from you!

The Cheshire Kitten 2003-11-07 . chapter 1
I'm sorry you were feeling sad enough to write this poem and I can totally relate. This reminds me of a short story I once wrote about a depressed woman who's lost her sister (it's called "Threnody", if you're interested).
