PC 2003-10-31 . chapter 67 another great story, funny, suspenseful, lots of action, can't wait to read the next one |

PurpleFinch 2003-08-18 . chapter 68WHEW! I just spent the last 3 days binge reading this and the first book! AMAZING! SUPERB! EXCELLENT! I can't wait for more! |
 A. Lee 2003-08-17 . chapter 68Ahh ... I think I'll say right now that I am now more confused than ever, what with the zillions of sides with the same goals, but different reasons, and trying to kill each other, and friends turning against each other, and me feeling sorry for Elle in one chapter, and sorry for Annalithiel's people in the next and AH!
Can't wait for the next book. I think "Quest of the Doomed and Foolish" is wonderful. Maybe "Quest of the Double O's" for short. :)

irisclara 2003-08-17 . chapter 68 Once again you have given me the perfect combination of happy resolution and cliffhanger. Kymenos as another royal heir? OK I see how that keeps the prophecy going but I bet he's really going to get disgusted about it. Did I mention how he reminds me of another unlikely monarch (Pheron)? We haven't checked in on Warcourage in a good while so I wonder what that creepy Savior has been doing with him. I hope Elle comes out of this well and sane. Thanks again for sharing your talent with us. |
White Lyhter 2003-08-17 . chapter 68Kudos to you! Can't wait until the next installment in the series. So, Kymenos really is the heir? I should have seen the Dalznan heir plot thread coming. I can't decide my favorite character, I like 'em all. I actually like Elle now.
By the way, I'm all for the Crownkillers. We need one monarch-less country.
Do you have some sort of appendix-type-thingy on Orlath and the surrounding kingdoms? Posted on a site I don't know about? ' Cause that'd be cool to skim through. |
White Lyhter 2003-08-16 . chapter 64Awesome job, as always. Okay, so did I hear something about an heir of Dalzna? Or did I misread? And if there is an heir, please, please tell me it isn't Kymenos. Please. I like him an' all, but he would suck as a leader. Besides, what about the Dalznans being free born? That's what I like about them. I mean, no doubt forcing a monarch upon them wouldn't work, but still. |
 A. Lee 2003-08-15 . chapter 62Well ...
Kymenos: Okay ... I'll refrain from commenting on the weirdness of that chapter. (I mean, being bound to bed by Scarlet as your ... um ... bed partner demands your loyalties?)
Olumer: Okay ... I thin that I like Pannerel. A little.
Ternora: Starwalker? Hmm ... I wonder what that is.
Elary: Silar is cool.

AshwinS 2003-08-15 . chapter 57 If Change wanted to bring balance to the world why does he wait so long before doing anything?
Where are Chance and Chaos? Were they present at the Gathering?
P.S.
No offense but I hope you don't kill off major character as you have done in your other novels. Its quite depressing. |
BbHtrYoink 2003-08-14 . chapter 60Yay! Rennon's back! But why did He choose the guise of a woman?
But I just can't believe that Elle really left the Light. What happens when all Her worshippers find out? Elle was never really a god, just a symbol for the Light, so I'm sure most of her worshippers wouldn't stay loyal to Her when they found out that She had abandoned the Light. But...can people worship a power, instead of a god?
Mitherill took the loss of her power quite rationally, considering she's a spoiled brat. I'm surprised. But I suppose it was Elary who acted rationally, influencing her, so it's alright.
Speaking of which, Elary is walking a fine line between caring for Mitherill and being snared by Destiny again. Or is she already snared again? I remember there was one point a while back where Elary mentioned that she loved Mitherill, and I'm a bit skeptical as to it that was her or Destiny speaking through her.
Are Shara and Elle actually sisters? Because at first I thought that they just called each-other that, half-mocking and because they were both godesses with about the same amount of power. But now I'm not so sure, given how Shara met Elle and Elle reciprocated.
Ah, now I see just how powerful Change really is. "Every breath we take changes the air. Every decision we make changes the course of the future. We could not act at all if not for Change." Truly awesome. Nope, not all the gods and powers in all the worlds could stand against Change.
I wonder how Elary's glimpse of Faerie will influence her...and did Mitherill see as well? Cause she didn't seem to.
K, that's far too many questions already. Really liked these past two chapters, great work! |
 A. Lee 2003-08-13 . chapter 58I think Change is my favorite power. And Olumer is my new favorite character. (The fave. character thing may change as soon as I read another Kymenos chapter.)
Nightstone: "I think it has limited our access to the elements to be fair."
Artaen blinked, opened his mouth, then closed it again. Nightstone was glad to see that he was thinking. Then he said, "But why would it do such a thing?"
Umm ... why does anyone want to be fair? To ... be fair?

irisclara 2003-08-13 . chapter 58 Yeah, Rennon should be at the meeting of powers (unless all his worshippers have been gone so long that he's reduced to a gleam in a mirror or something). Kymenos is reminding me of Pheron more and more. That's a good thing btw. Shadow created the fey? That's interesting. And the flying fey are faerie? Could that be related to Elle killing faerie? I'm looking forward to more actions by Change. I'm curious about Cheyena. Is she really just a wimp or did something happen to make her that way? |
 A. Lee 2003-08-12 . chapter 56Well ... I would like to state that I think Mitherill's Destiny is the most impressive (so far) because Mitherill, while usually a simpering brat, actually becomes stronger when taken over by Destiny. I still don't like her though, because she is still a whiny brat.
I like Kymenos. A lot. He's my kind of hero (oh wait ... he's not a hero, is he ... never mind).

Rina Riku 2003-08-12 . chapter 56 Maybe I should stop posting the same thing after every couple of chapters but the feeling just gets stronger. Gods above I love sensible people. |
 A. Lee 2003-08-12 . chapter 54Well, I think Cadona is a big fat idiot, and would never make a good Queen, and I wonder how Olumer will interact with Idona. I also wonder ... since most Rivendonian royalty have been of the Dark, and Cadona is of the Light, will that have any impact on the consequences of Cadona's actions?
I am as eager as Ternora to know about what will happen next in the Gods' Council. So Light is abandoning Elle, is she? That must be Warcourage was not able to receive an answer on whether or not he should enter Shara's temple. I notice that Shara seems kinda nice to Elle in this chapter of this land's history ... unlike the period of time in which Queen Aneron ruled, where the bickering (as shown by "The Dance of Shara and Elle") was quite ... intense, shall I say?
Either way, I can't wait for the next update, so until then ...
