It's cute! I like how you turned the song lyrics into a story, though I still say it's overly melodramatic. Though I noticed the language getting a bit awkward at times, since with a same-sex couple, you can't depend on "he"/"she" pronouns to distinguish between them. A suggestion? Since our third-person narrator is mainly following Miguel around, perhaps it'd make the story flow better if it were told first-person, from his perspective?

That said, this was brilliant. I'm pretty sure it was perfect technically - I never noticed any spelling or grammar errors - and your characters are both really well defined, so it's like, the reader really feels for them, because they're not cardboard, they seem real.
That, and it's just generally really good (hey, I told you I was bad at this!). It's cute and lighthearted at times, but you still manage to deal with the serious stuff well, without it getting so heavy the reader feels bogged down.
Anyway, point being, this is fantastic.
