I ought to visit FictionPress more often (I'm an author on Fanfiction.net). Good poem, and accurate as well. One note: you switch from singular to plural for seemingly no reason. "Were sickly sweet... It cracked..." Assuming that lies is the antecedent, it is grammatically incorrect. The line about ageing is still my favorite line though.

This is beautiful. It has always irritated me how kids are brainwashed by their parents to be just like them and think just like them. So this is so... refreshing. It's nice to know that there are people who have realized this. My favorite line was "Our minds began to sicken.../With all their poisoned remedies" It was a powerful ending, for a poem with a powerful message. The only thing I could say about this other than "Amazing" is it would have been better if it was longer... or maybe it wouldn't. You never know. But either way, awesome job.
