Ah! Its so beautiful, and so.. unattainable! *hangs head in shame* I can't do riddles - but its a wonderful, wonderful poem! I'm sure people a lot smarter than I am will be getting it soon, and then I can... steal their answers! And invent a time machine! and go back in time! and say that I knew what it was first! Deuces! heh gotta say I didn't like it much...there's only one word for a card with two spots, so anyone who knows that can get it without all the tricky, illogical letterplay. The best riddles are four lines, unless they're double riddles or better - or they can be longer if it's nought but letterplay, with some crazy puns. The poem ought also to make sense, to be valid as an artistic work, instead of just a game.
Also, I'm pretty sure "dueling" didn't come into vogue until the Renaissance, and I know the word association is with the Renaissance and later. Duel-worthy differences tended to be settled by trials-by-combat, by small wars or by competition at the jousts, I suppose.
The "dragon's sale" clue is tacky. "slips on" should be instead of "slips upon"; it's amazing how often "upon" is misused.
What's the quote about "a critic is one who knows the way but can't drive the car?" I ought not to criticize, since I'm sure I couldn't do so well. Please don't consider this a flame, it's not meant as such, just as honest as I can be.

Haha I know what this is, they announced it yesterday...but maybe I shouldn't say it...as I apparently gave it away before...but its a creature creationists deny is related to us. Well you know what I mean.
