This is freaking amazing! I loved all of it; the rhythm and rhyme are perfect.
I especially loved the stanza:

"my heart and flesh are made of stone
an everlasting mask
but still, I’m naked to the bone,
to hide, a hopeless task"

Wow. This is one of the best poems I've read in a long while. Every line seemed so very perfect. Excellent. ~Blinks~ I'd probably cry, but I've resolved not to lately.

The last four lines were definitely the best... but they were all extremely impressive. Sheesh, it makes me wish I could write for more than crap these days. ^_^;;

I tried something like this, once. I did. About rain, sliding down glass. That was awful. This is amazing. M'dear, you're an awesome poet. Keep it up!!
