It is good, but I don't really like all the references to darkness (shadow, black, etc.) as bad. Once is okay, but you use it as it is all the evil in the world. I just feel as if that is very stereotypical. Who decided that the dark represent all evil? I think that you are a good enough writer to find other words that better describe your demons.
