Oh my, I can relate. I had a "friend" who used to be nice to me only when she wanted to cry on my shoulder. The rest of the time she was her high and mighty self. I'm glad I'm rid of her today. Great poem!

Cold and bitter, very cold. The flow wasn't that great, but man, you got your message across, and that's what makes this a fun poem to read (at least for me).

I know what you're talking about with that needy friend you just want to shut up sometimes.

You got your point across wonderfully! I really liked this one. Some of the last parts perfectly described my little brother! (but don't tell him I say that...)

You got your point across well. Such people aren't the best people to be around.

nice poem. i like it and i know how you feel. nicely written, insightful with a nice bit of truth. sad though. well good job! keep on writing!

btw, thanks for your review. i guess the rhythm was ok, but i messed up on the last rhyming stanza and changed it a bit.

Well said. I know what you mean, I can't stand people like that. They're like a plague.

BTW, I can see from your profile that you were sick of me changing my name. Well, I hate myself enough for not being able to stick with one, but rest assured I swore to myself I will never ever change my name ever again. Sorry again.

Sounds like someone I know...I love it! Its good, don't be so negative! I love the part:

everyone has problems
ragged chips in the windshield
but if the glass ain't broke, don't smash it
and don't burden me with the pieces

this isn't bad at all! in fact the grating iritation in it really brings it to life ~ it's like drowning in one huge angry emotion. perchance this was an undesired effect, but the speaker sounded somewhat unreasonable, as though the anger was WAY too much for a bunch of little quibbles. i was really curious to know what specifically the person at the butt of the rant in question did, actually . . . not that you need to, the poem makes a HUGE impact as it is, regardless of whether or not it's the one you had hoped for :P it really sucked me in ~ i kinda felt like someone was shaking me by the shoulders and screaming in my face. in fact i think this is the FIRST and ONLY poem to ever make me feel that way! *claps* ehem, yes, moving on then . . . favorite lines were: "ragged chips in the windshield," "pile your nightmares on me," "stop leaning on my shoulder" (way to turn a cliche in the other direction!) and the last stanza was SO daunting. i mean i could just *hear* hopes and dreams cracking. this piece definitely packs a very strong punch. great job ~ especially for a rant! ! ! :P kudos chica!
