Bay710 2003-12-14 . chapter 1I really liked this poem. Symbolism? I think the piano could represent a country or nation that's been forgotten, and then someone comes along and finds it .. I don't know. But it's a nice poem ;D

Moineau 2003-11-26 . chapter 1Ah, Laura! I've read a bunch of your poetry, and first off, I'd like to say; you are amazing! The way you can spin words is just... phenominal! I've always thought of myself as good.. but compaired to you... anyway.
This poem, I think is, out of the ones I've read, my favourite. Being a piano player myself, it inspires me to become the master that's depicted in the poem. And even though I know how implausible it would be for a piano to be still in tune after so many years of sitting unplayed, I really love how you came to the final words with such emphasise, such finality, such... effectiveness.
Wonderful job! It's beautiful, as is all your poetry. |
 BecRa942 2003-10-14 . chapter 1Hi Laura!
This was also a cool poem, I will say however that it has a wierd rythem to it. Almost not quite right- if you want the honest truth that is.- I think that it symbolizes the heart. Our heart can lay in wait for a long time, but one day, something will touch it and it will be renewed and opened up once again. Hey... that is just what I think...

Yaquel Visain 2003-09-02 . chapter 1"The woman's heart has sat, square and forbidding, unloved for decades." That's what I gathered (and loved) about this poem. |
jen 2003-08-10 . chapter 1 I really enjoyed this poem. I really liked how you start it out. I can just see a piano sitting in the corner of someone's house. sitting idle until someone comes and blows the dust off it. If you want me to tell you something I think you should do diferently I might say to add more to the person that blows the dust off the piano. Mabey tell what the piano smells like. That is just my opinion. I really liked it alot. |

CatieZee 2003-08-03 . chapter 1Ah, wow! Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
When I read this, I thought of the piano representing someone loved for the first time. I don't know if that's what you were trying to say, but I think it's a beautiful message.
I love your description. In its simplicity, it is beautiful. |
