abuseMasterful work. Especially with the use of purple, which not only fits the verse, but the theme. While the Purple Heart is now given to injured military (including those {and next of kin to those} injured by international acts of terrorism, such as 9/11,) it was originally issued by George Washington to heroes of the Revolutionary War, and was at the time called the Badge of Military Merrit. Just an interesting tidbit.
