When I saw the title of this I just HAD to read it, as we just got done discussing Bishop's "The Fish" in my writing class *grins* I like the way you repeat "Listen" as this running motif in the poem.And you've got some KILLER (in a good way *winx*) enjambment stuff goin' on here:
"...Listen
for the sound between the fish"
