this is a very good poem. there's a great rhythm and a great overall sound to it (especially the first three lines). but i think the reason i like it most is that i can relate to it so much, so the message/feelings in it got to me. favorite lines from this one were: "i see an image/an image of me/i look into the past and see," "bright, book-hungry, happy to learn," and "only now it is not really my image anymore, but it's etched on my eyelids." nice piece. :)

so that's what's been going on in that little head of yours. i should have known!
