Very nicely written. Better than some of the stuff that I have seen written by new writers. Nice description. ^-^

You state this is a fanfiction of Christine Feehan's work. Then it should go on fanfiction.net. If there isn't a section for her, than it should go under "Miscellaneous".
Good imagery. Perhaps if you find a synonym for the word "stealth" it would be better. "blazed FROM within the gaunt face" instead... I think you used semi-colons incorrectly. I think it should be commas instead.
Again, I say you have very good imagery in this prologue. It's vivid, can easily be seen in the mind's eye.
Be interesting to read the following chapters.
