Not exactly what I had in mind by "worst possible way"... but it'll still do nicely! XDD Very nice build-up to it, his death and all. That poor girl, having to kill those people like that... though it was awesome seeing the male main character's love interest do the rescuing. And it was violent! You always do *that* well! And this is just off the top of my head, but their reunion is probably my favourite scene of anything I've read by you so far ;_;

Now it looks like they're in the clear! Nothing but sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows ahead for our happy couple now! ...right? ;_;

My GOD man, how could you *do* that to poor Totora and the happy couple?? ;_; Am I *disturbed* yet?? Oh I don't know, maybe a *little*!! I mean I know his hair is a bit much, and we've *all* been jealous of people with yellow eyes at one point or another, but GEEZ he still didn't deserve *that*! No! Just, just no! And here I'd been all this time associating you with bright rainbows and big fluffy pink clouds and other things that were, you know, *not* sadistic! Don't worry about it though, the chapter's so awesome I don't mind as much XDD Well okay, maybe "awesome" is a poor choice of words for a chapter featuring torture and two lives getting utterly torn down like that... how about "well-written" instead? The frightening and violent aspect definitely came across for all the torture, that was some powerful stuff. The father's a dick who I want to see get murdered in the *worst* possible way, and I'm sure strong feelings like that have to be attributed to some good writing too. And my heart broke for poor Rebecca when the townspeople said those mean things to her ;_;

Oh, so maybe he *has* forgotten how many years it's been since he wasn't so sure about the ages anymore... still kinda weird in that first chapter though! Are Jaykun and Chi still backstory-less today? I liked them well enough... actually I liked all the hunters a lot, quite a crew you put together there! It's just too bad you went and KILLED one of them!! They SO should've gotten their own spin-off. Just take Weiss Kreuz, change the names and the places around, and suddenly the hunters are having their own little adventures! It's perfect! Um, except for the part about Weiss Kreuz not being terribly good to begin with, but nevermind we can just overlook that.

Alright, *finally*, Totora! I can't wait! I'm sure this will be a cheery, high-spirited, *uplifting* romp down memory lane! ...right?

In the comic I never thought Totora was boring exactly (nevermind his randomly psychicness just before his end, how could someone be boring with hair like *that*??) but he sure did come off as nearly pointless. But that's okay, he gets his time to shine here! That first chapter alone is so dark and sad already ;_; Can't wait to see the rest! XD You presented their sweet but doomed little romance very well. Has he really "forgotten how many years it has been" when he knows both his current age and how old he was when this past stuff took place? Maybe he just has a math problem, I'm sure we've all been *there* before. I love the ending, those last couple paragraphs were really effective.

Lots of cryptic foreshadowing, incredibly morose foreboding tone... I *love* it! Bring on the next one! Oh wait, it's right there.
