Wow. That was intense. You did a very good job writing it from Robbie's point of view, especially where he can't figure out why he needs to stop. There isn't really a good reason, is there?

If you want, you should check out some of my writing. I haven't done it for over a year, but I know exactly how Robbie feels. One thing I'm not too clear on is, does he not have a life, or family or anything? It just seems like all he does is sit and not participate in society... which is really what makes it so sad.

Emotion, emotion, emotion-- this story is so full of it. I could feel the narrator's depression and his refusal to stop his cutting, regardless of Adam's urgings. And, in reverse, I could feel Adam's sadness.

Also, the wording was so eloquent and expressive. It was really wonderful.

I know I've read this before, and I was almost *positive* that I reviewed it the first time around, but I guess I was wrong... Anyways, this is a hauntingly gorgeous piece. Wonderful internal dialogue, great rationalization/explanation of a habit that defies the understanding of so-called 'normal' people and minds. I hope that sounded like a compliment, because it was meant to be a huge one...

this, i like a lot. but it brought back a lot of bad times for me. i did all that b4. i cut myself for years and i coulda killed myself and i hurt so many people around me that i love and that loved me. i lost some of those people, but i've gained others. and, if i hadn't gone thru that, i wouldn't be who i am today. right?

This story is so totally Shibby. It truely shows how it is to be addicted to cutting... I know... It does hurt other people but then it also feels so good to get that numb feeling. Anyway I love how you did this and please keep it up. This is just ... WOW... very nice.

This was disturbingly good.
I loved the way it was told... the way you explained the addiction from the addict's point of view.
That made it beautiful, in a masochistic kinda way.
