I know the feeling. Great poem! I especially like the last two lines. They end the poem so well.

Wow, you have some awesome, dark images in here, and you know how much I love darkness! (and if you didn't, you know now!) Love the line, "The moon is slowly setting, leaving only the stars for hope"

Why can't life be as good as this poem?

i know what you mean... life isnt kind, it never has been, i guess u just need to find something to hang onto, and hope for, and just try to live through life one day at a time... and then someday there will be rest for the weary!
