Cute. :)
Siriusly James 2004-05-27 . chapter 1
Oh, I love this story - it's amazingly cute. I think I'll show it to my English teacher after the summer holidays - he loves this kind of stories. I love how you made Roody talk the "street language" or what one should call it.
My favourite part is where they tickle each other and she is "filled with rebellion thinking she can do anything because she is seven years old" and so on. It's really cute.
The ending is very professional, seeuing as you start out with describing the noises of the knitting needles and then ends with those noises too. The title is very well chosen - I know many people who would just call it "The tomboy" or something like that.
Oh, and I agree with The Dark Wizard - it does remind of Dickens.
In short: It is perfect. Keep writing.

*squeals* They're so *cute*! [Yah, I know, not much of a review when all your reader is doing is squealing about how cute your characters are]. Still, there's this lingering sadness and pity for Roody. Would like to see what else you have up your sleeve for this story. :)

reminisent of Dickins. But than again, so individual, as to remind me it is not... Very nice
