Agreed...you'd have to have someone to be immortal with, or else it would be lonely...but otherwise I'm not so opposed to it. I suppose that makes me an 'optimist who is in love with the world despite its heartaches.' Thoughtful sort of poem, especially for a haiku. (It's hard to cram all that philosophy into the tiny little package, eh?)
