Very insightful and interesting to read. Your writing is perceptive and really makes me want more. I think it could use being broken up into some separate paragraphs though.

The town that I grew up in was a winter home for a circus, so I knew a lot of clowns and performers, but I have never actually been to a circus (because they didn't do any performances during their time off).

o_o this is so true... its freaky but true :P now that i think about it... people do gasp whenever the acrobats catch eachother, not when they're in midair or something... >_<
the thing about we enjoy seeing people failing...you can see that on tv as well, where you laugh not b/c of the laugh tracks but because they look so stupid while failing...

bizzare, chilling, interesting, and very truthful. i love this work. perception is an interesting thing. it helps us to befriend foes and enemy friends... *shrug* anyway! (i'm just in a rambly mood right now *hides*)
