| a silenced revolution 2008-04-27 ch 1, | abuse[Review Game] The basic idea is interesting and decently original, although I don't think I agree. Reminds me of the quote that goes something close to "The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference". I like the descriptive analysis of feelings. The type of love/hate around which this poem centers does, I'd think, only apply to a romantic situation, as hating your loved one's murderer, for example, would have nothing to with loving the perpetrator to the point of pain. I felt that this poem lacked any rhythm and I didn't find much poetic language, such as imagery/metaphor/similies. So I'd suggest either trying to work on that or removing the line breaks to transform this into a short prose piece/essay/opinion blurb. -Adrian |
