| redsky 2004-04-25 ch 4, | I really am enjoying this story. Your descriptions of the house, the lives of the characters and your dialogue are all very real. I enjoyed reading about how Walker's family accepted Casidy into their family after he left her. I do have some suggestions however. Though your characters are off to a great start, casidy especially, I do think they are a little thin. I'd like to see more angry feelings from all of them at the mention of Walker's disappearing act. Perhaps in the first two chapters especially because his leaving is so recent. Casidy shows a good display of anger in the beginning but I would be mad as hell still after ten years if I were her. It's a natural feeling and she can be angry with him and still love him. I could see his parents and siblings having a good influence on her and getting her to eventually set her anger aside at least until they see each other again. Also, you say several times that she is still deeply in love with him... why? What I mean is I don't see a history between them. How did they meet? Was he always a nice guy to her? I think you could put a fair amount of back story in these first three chapters and manage to flesh out all of the characters in doing so. Well... that's just my thoughts on the subject and I hope you update soon. Remember this is your story and you don't have to fix it if you do't want to. These are just suggestions only.
