The title got me interested. It's an interesting title. I have no idea what Nightrunners is, but I think the poem is good nonetheless. You certainly use an un-ordinary rhyming scheme, which is pretty great. It takes a bit of getting used too, though.

Every third stanza (the technical name escapes me at present) is awkward when I read it aloud. Perhaps it's because I can't find the natural beat of it...I have trouble with that sometimes, if it is not my own work. After the second reading it came a little easier, but still seems awkward.

I really do love this, though. "Sometimes you have to die to live" came off as exceptionally strong. I also enjoyed the "through half a hundred falls" and "after half a thousand lies." The latter continues with the strength I mentioned before. Those phrases also slip nicely from the tongue.

And, of course, you based this upon the Nightrunner series. *smiles* Many, many points for that!

Hey
love this poem - it is fantastic! I especially like the "And he who has two hearts is twice as strong" bits. Could you send me the Othello version too, I'm studying it in English and it would be interesting to read (you can find my email address on my profile page)

Wow...this is really, really cool. Your rhyming is excellent, and it practically breathes mysterious. There's only one thing that would make it better. If I knew what it was talking about. O_o()

This sounds like something that would be stunning as a companion to this "Nightrunner" series, but by itself it's a bit confusing. I still love this, I just wish I knew what was going on. ^_^() *applauds anyway*
