I like the sentiment in this poem. A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of my favorite plays.
I like the moon being the messenger. I have felt that before.

can i tell you for a moment how you're my favorite person for quoting midsummer and writing a sonnet?
that said...
You might want to look at the meter on some of your lines, especially 1 and 3. The first time i counted 1 i found 6 beats (not pentameter) and the 3rd line too is pretty funky. So essentially you might want to just review your meter. Also you have NO rhyme scheme, which is a little dissappointing.

I really like the longing you set in here to send that message of love... it was almost tangible...

Beautiful. *counts syllables and lines on fingers* I think you followed the rules of a sonnet perfectly. *sighs, blow bangs off forehead* I've attempted sonnets, but haven't been able to complete one just yet. Same goes for haiku. Too pithy for me. I talk too much for haiku.
Lovely word choices and use of description. I had the good fortune to be in the backseat of my car for about two hours straight last night and be able to watch the full moon. . .inspiring, but you already know that, I'm sure. :)
Side note: LOVE that you quoted "Midsummer Night's Dream." My favorite piece of Shakespeare I've read so far, next to the Sonnets.

I stayed out for about an hour last night, watching the moon rise while my dad burned a fire behind me. Smoke entwined with silver moonlight is perhaps one of the most beautiful things in the world.

Great poem, darling. ::hugs::
