I love gaelic, takes me back to Ireland everytime I hear or read it. It's got the typical Irish feel of bloodiness to it, but a very British properness aswell.
I love this piece, it's so unique.

hmm... i love the line about no lives to kill only targets to be shot...or something like that anyway. i like the whole poem and totally understand and agree with it. it also had an excellent rhythm...you obviously know alot about poetry and its techniques and your only 14! makes me feel kinda stupid...hehe
well done once again

Excellent sonnet, beautifully written but very sad. You really capture that sense of hopelessness one is bound to encounter in war. Great work, off to read some more of your pieces :)

you know whats funny, the amount of writers on fictionpress who say they write a sonnet...just a sonnet...not a particular sonnet...just a sonnet...and it ISNT 14 LINES...is my pet peeve, and i was elated when i counted the lines and not only was it a bloody fantastic and breath taking sonnet you wrote, it was...14 LINES! congrats!

moving along...
i think the poems worth was really brought out in the second section, where feelings were expressed, more depth and thought was revealed, it really was touching, and nice contrast to the first section which was mainly battle and war."The passion of life has been smothered out" lovely, so tender, but very significant and repersentative.
i *loved* the gaelic at the end, the perfect touch, and the translation, i fainted, it was that good, so utterly heart stopping and fully taer jerking in the context it was given. magnific work chica, this was great, and i *love sonnets, especially shakesparian ones, you most definitely did it justice, kudos!

P:S - your vocabulary, chica, its amazing...the review you sent me i actually had to look up some of the words, lol! oi to my horrific english skills uh?

Love it... really love it. I love the Gaelic, too. It's so deep. So beautiful yet so sad. It almost made me cry.

I always like to critique stuff in reviews, but I really can't find a point for improvement! Sorry!

In his subconscious, nothing to confess but

Falling swiftly, belief without faith,

Chanting, “Táim mar is gá dom bheith.”

I love this part. Not just because you used my line but because it clearly fits so well. Thank you for writing this.
