Reviews For: A Love Sonnet
Loki Mischeif-Maker 2004-02-22 . chapter 1
Beautiful! I love sonnets (I also love Shakespeare, as the two sorta go together, lol), and I think you've captured the essence of both (Shakespeare and the sonnet, that is. . . .). This poem is beautiful, as id your imagery.

Cheers!

i really liked your love sonnet - you definately have a shakespearean turn of phrase! (that never goes out of style, methinks.) and it's not pretentious, it's very beautiful. Perhaps you might title it, "A Love not Grand nor Wise," or some other line. Or you could just do the Shakespearean thing and use the first line as the title.

actually, as to what you asked me in your review. I'd like to imagine being published in the distant future (what writer doesn't!) but with today's publishing market, the chances for a "new voice" are slim to none. So I'm thinking of remaining happily in fictionpress, turning out a new chapter for the next... however many years, and becoming a fictionpress phenomenon. (I didn't say I wasn't ambitious!)

your writing is especially beautiful and unique - it's a gift you ought to treasure. If you're a student, (forgive me for my presumption if you're not,) have you ever considered writing for your school literary journal or magazine? Any magazine would kill for your talent, as well as your lovely work.

i was actually quite charmed by this poem. it sounds like a bit of a mash of all those love poem cliches, but i mean that in a good way. you pulled it off i think. good job on the last couplet.
