This is so sad, and yet... full of hope, in some weird way. The "I walk" repetition really adds to the story, and the fact that you focus on so many different people, so many different things besides your character, makes for a lovely read. Nothing really "happens" in the story, but it looks as if it's filled with action all the same. And that paragraph about the old people really got to me; I must be feeling vulnerable tonight.

Thats really beautiful. I like this very much. At first, I wanted to say that the "I walk" was getting too repetitive, but after reading the entire thing, it's very poetic.
