Despite everything, I still have a slight craving that Alusta will come to love Yubro. Himself, and only himself, and not the hero that she pictures him to be. And that Yubro could accept her love once it is pure. A little happily-ever-after is always good, since no one wants to read depressing stories. OF course, it doesn't need to be "perfect" only as perfect as two people can be. Which is not very. People tend to disagree and fight. Anyway, now that Yubro has found his rather remarkable will, I doubt ANYTHING can bend his will to do their bidding. Just consider the enermous amount of willpower and stubborness he had to display when creating the horses in the first place!
So, I truly hope for some more interesting romance in future, with slow pace or not. Of course, I tend to view romance as the last straw to grasp in story if there's nothing else good in it. But the way you've written Yubro's stories so far have left little to be desired (expect that romance. Heh.) so it is not really all that important to add it if it clashes against your personal idea of the storyline. But it would spice things up... especially if it was gradual, not nearly instaneous as in Irina's (sp?) case. One could imagine it would take Alusta while to understand Yubro and her supposed love towards him, and all that jazz. And then it would take quite a lot of convincing of this "new" Yubro with powerful will to trust and accept her love. Not to mention love her in return.
Ah well, it is only an thought. The stories are great no matter what happens. Although if there's going to be a tragic ending, please - inform us readers. I really don't like sad endings, I read to be cheered up. I watch news to get depressed.
Well, I did not have as nearly as constructive criticism as much as stuff to blather about. I'm sorry about that. If I think up anything to fix, I'll do my best. One of the things to play up, I think is that you should pronounce Yubro's new and improved willpower. He should have considerable amounts of it, since he constested with god about it. Think about it. And Alusta.
(Uhm, incidentally. "Alusta" is a finnish word and means "flooring" or something to lay something on. Not floor as per se, but as the ground or floor below something. A bit distracting. Then again, most fantasy names tend to come too close finnish words... like Oka, which means thorn. Or Sumu which means mist, ect... So don't feel bad about it, I see it a lot)

Did I miss something or wasn't Alusta forbidden from deceptions in her songs? Or is implying that her and Yubro are to be married less overt somehow? Surely she should know better by now?

I like the way this is going. Yubro's obviously got a lot to learn still about consequences, but I have a feeling that's something that's going to develop throughout the story.

OOh exciting! I'm glad you decided to start this one off right after the ending of 'Made Glorious Summer', as I wanted to know what the reactions of Jesartlu and Dandran would be.
(*Tries to imagine what seeing a horse for the very first time would be like knowing that nothing like it should exist anywhere*) It's nice to see Yubro looking so smug and enjoying himself for once. No doubt the frustration will come later on though, knowing his friends!

Sometimes I think that Elperi is just another misbehaving pet Yubro needs to take care off...
I like where this is going as well. And, of course, you had to leave me hanging. Now I need to know what happens with Alusta.

Somehow I had never pictured Elperi as a horse herder. Why does this image makes me want to chuckle?
I really enjoyed this, though. It was just like I had thought it would be, this coming of horses to Rowan. A part suspicion, a part paranoia and part of Yubro gleaming.

I simply must commend you on writing all these storys. I have not read them all yet. However a sheer writing talent such as your is amazing and should inspire other writers. I am wondering if you are an author. If not I would highly reccomend becoming one. From what I can tell you are the material an author will dream to be. I hope to see your books sometime soon.
