| Galadh Niniel 2005-01-15 ch 1, | abuseOh this is so beautiful, I love it. I can relate, though my trust tends to be so weak. I admire the strength of your sin statements like that of the second-last stanza. The imagery you use is absolutely fitting and wonderful. I love the strength of faith and determination to accept everything from the lover (I suppose it is God) in complete abandon, also the way the speaker clings to him and sees her only salvation there. "I'd rather sink than plunge through void" - that is so true, I feel the same. Great job. |
| Zainab 2004-08-24 ch 1, | abuseonce again, nice rhythm. reminded me of a mixture between linkin park and evanescence. |
| Hershey249 2004-04-01 ch 1, | abuseThis really does a great job of capturing the fact that love is a double-edged sword...be your own person, and be alone...or be with someone, and disappear. It's a choice a lot of people have to make...so many women have given up their childhood dreams so their husbands can prosper. That's a more literal meaning, but I think there's something figurative there too...you can lose sight of so many things through love. I love all the metaphors, also. I seem to be on a metaphor kick lately, and this is like eating a really good chocolate bar. Makes me want seconds...:) |
