Powerful feelings, a very nice Christian poem unlike many others I've seen on fictionpress. The feeling of wanting to be clean is very powerfully expressed. I study Latin too, by the way. :)

I like how at first, you talk about using earthly things to get yourself "clean", but in the end, you know that God's the only one who can make you clean in the end. At least, that's how i interpreted it.
