| Aged Parent Peggotty Barkis 2003-12-10 ch 1, | abuseI like the first two poems and the one entitled "Words" best. In "Death" I like the imagery although the images it evokes are by no means pleasant. It is very emotive. I like the second verse in "Doubled Lullaby" but not so much the first verse. I couldn't find a rhythm (but that is probably my fault). This poem makes me remember singing lullabies when I was a child. In the poem "WOrds" I like the question at the end. It makes the poem open ended and makes the reader think about what you have actually written and the issues. In the other poems I also like the repetition of the rhetoric questions and they were also vedry good but I guess I could relate to the others more. From Kate |
