This story is interesting. The way you flip around what everyone has always held true is perfect.

These pegasi are flying horses like the original Pegasus, only carnivores? The word in plural is accurate, but knowing your love for creating new words I just had to ask. And I suppose you have made them of the Dark. (Having Medusa for a mother can do that, hehe).
I think that Nightstone is a thrilling character. And I just loved her thoughts regarding her brother.
The Light likes to torture more than the Dark does, methinks. Something to ponder on...
So far I loved it. And I certainly want to know more about the dark fey.

How cool! Nightstone is one of my favorite characters ever. Any chance we might get to see some Kymenos back stories? Probably more difficult to do, but I miss him...

So this is Nightstone's history. I can see why she loves the Dark so much, and hates her family.
Good parts: I loved how she took a new name. And how you described her looking at the stars was perfect. And, after some thought, "Kyesta" almost committing suicide made perfect sense. She trusted the Dark so deeply, so implicitly, that she was willing to die. And yet, it didn't come off sappy or Sue-ish at all. Taking risks was part of her nature, so it seemed natural.
Bad parts: Nightstone doesn't care about killing at all? I would think that she would have the sense to acknowledge that, even though it was her precious Dark doing the slaughering, it was still killing people! Also, Nightstone's mother was Queen Aneron, Founder of Orlath. Pretty important and imposing woman, and yet she isn't mentioned at all. Why?
