Reviews For: Scripture, Astroturf, and Thanksgiving Dinner

Okay, firstly, this poem is good (and you wrote it 3 years ago so I'll be sure to check out more recent works). I love how you manage to convey the difference between the generations; it reminds me of my gran wondering why people nowadays drink just to get drunk.

The real purpose for this review is a reply to your reviews for my story 'One Finger on the Trigger' (hereafter abbreviated to 'Ofott') - I don't normally reply in reviews but you don't have email on your page so myeh. I just wanted to say thanks for the reviews and I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far. Some of your comments made me chuckle, which is really what spurred me to thank you, especially the one concerning Soren in boxers and a t-shirt (m...) My friend is drawing a pic of him so when I've got it, I'll put it up on my profile for all to admire (she draws manga style so he is gonna be hawt). Anyway, must dash. My time is too limited at the moment to do much reviewing but I'll try to return some more reviews (and better ones at that) when I can. Thanks again!

Oh, gosh- I know exactly what you mean. My German grandparents have so many rules, I can barely breathe in their house. I wish that it was easier to communicate over the generation gap- and it makes sense that our grandmothers would understand us, we are all human, right? But sometimes it just doesn't work that way- good job.

WOW! What an amazing poem! I'm sure everyone here can relate to it just a little... everyone has family members like that.
Nice one Helena!

Welcome! Great introduction. Amazing poem! much higher level than most I must say. This poem touched on a lot. I like the way you presented the generation gap. A yearning to understand. You supplied a conclusion without really giving any concrete answers. I liked the open-ended feeling of this. I'd like to read more of your stuff. Keep posting! :)
