The imagery is splendid and very very catlike. only one line doesn't seem to sit right to me... "Lugh thinks it’s cozy to sleep on my head." Although admittedly, there's nothing better that waking up, unable to breath, with a mouthful of cathair :)

Because I live with a cat, I know that cats are really focused on only a couple of things: eating and sleeping. And demanding that you clean the litter box lest they use the couch as a toilet. Alas, if only humans could be content with such a simple and easy life...oh well. I hope you get better soon!

I don't think I put author's notes in the story itself more than once the entire story. I'll be sure not to do that again. My first thought on reading the summary was that you had somehow gotten the flu from your cats, but of course they can cause enormous amounts of trouble without actually handing you the disease.
