Devidedistand 2005-10-09 ch 1,	abuseWow, this is different. A lot of people write for God, but I haven't seen many write against him. Interesting. I don't agree with you though. Consider what you have to lose if you are Christian. If you are right, and God is real, you will go to heaven. If you are wrong, and there is no afterlife, then what have you go to lose? Now think about being atheist. If you are right, and there is no God, your life will end and that's that. But if you are wrong, and God is real and does judge people based on faith, then you risk going to hell. So you've got two paths for each side - Christians either go to heaven or cease to exist (Both of which are painless). Atheists either cease to exist or end up in hell (one of which is quite painfull). So why risk going to hell just because it defies earthly logic?

Ok, being a deeply religious person myself, I'd like to point out that you have completely stereotyped the already generalized group of Christians. Athiests, I got a few words for you- dont take your personal encounters with religious people to God. God doesnt control his people, we've got free will. Just as anyone else can be an **, so can Christians, but for the sake of common sense, dont generalize and dont blame God for the stupidity and arrogance of humans. Surely you are entitled to your opinion, but what you've done with this, while poetically decent, materially isnt that great.

People shouldn't FORCE their beliefs on others, that's wrong, man. But, at the same time, saying that people rely on their beliefs because they have low self-respect or lack confidence is oversimplification. That can't always be the case, look at our military personnel man, many are religious and would you characterize them as lacking confidence? Man, some people speak of tolerance and then proceed to not follow their own rules... One comment on God though, if you ever really want to know what's up in this universe, try proving He doesn't exist. That's all man I'm out. You take care of yourself now, and whether or not you believe in Him or not, I hope that God blesses you so that you might someday see Him.

I'm hardly a devote follower, but We all need something to believe in, without that where is your direction? Where is your hope? Before you judge people with a faith, consider why they are religious and take a look at your life, think of the differences. I'm not trying to convert you and I'm not pretending I know who you are. I respect you decision, just please respect others.

The meter is a little glitchy in few places, but I like that it rhymes...God, it's like everyone in the religion section can only write angry rants... I absolutely agree, and the "let it run your life" line hit the nail right on the head. While you aren't going to change anyone's mind with this, those who already agree with you will sure like it.
A Perfect Circle 2004-01-05 ch 1,	abuseIn response to Hail, and any other person that argues this(which you can, I don't care) there are a few things that I'd like to counter. First, humans only use 10% of their brain, not 2%. Second, if humans have a small brain, and you say that I have that small brain that can't comprehend, and you are a human, so wouldn't you also have that same small brain? I'm sorry, but religion is one of my pet peeves. Have fun in your cult.

Billios 2004-01-05 ch 1,	abusethis is such a refreshing change from everything else i've seen on this website. you're the first person i've read who's been able to successfully transmit their thoughts and opinions onto the paper. i think that religion is meant to give some people who're lacking in confidence and self-belief some direction in life, albeit the wrong direction... just remember not to disrespect their religion as badly as they disrespect ours. good job.
