Simian 2005-09-01 . chapter 1And what all the Mother's followers, hmm? As an Anglican, I've recieved more than a fair share of spit on my face by people who claim to want Religious Tolerance.
But it was a good poem. I hope ALL people take it heart and learn to respect EVERYONE as people. |
Olivia 2004-11-02 . chapter 1 Father, help them see-
they are being just as bad
as us.
Lift their minds to greater
heights.
sigh. live with my beliefs, and I'll live with yours. please don't generalize, it shames you and all that you try to stand for. |
anewscreenname 2004-02-03 . chapter 1Oh, this is excellent. :)This poem could have been my own thoughts and I loved this line in particular: "Help them see that religion is a feeling/an experience, unique to each person." I am a Christian, but something of a weird one because I believe other religions are just as valid and fulfilling as my own. (I hope you do write that essay that you were talkiing about in some of the other reviews of your poems/essays... The one about the similiarities between Christianity and Paganism? I already know some of what you are talking about, and I loved finding it out. It makes me feel tied to so many religions beyond my own. It's awesome!) And yet I am a Christian because this is where I seem to belong and I hope everyone can find a faith (or lack thereof) that makes them happy rather than be forced into one that doesn't.
Anyway, I hope you continue to write. And I hope the Mother Goddess will someday bless us all in the way this poem speaks of. :D |
cosmo-queen 2004-01-09 . chapter 1Excellent poem. It expresses my sentiments exactly. People must learn to respect each other despite differences or otherwise intolerance will be the end of us all. Great work, keep it up :)

Kerbi 2004-01-05 . chapter 1I like it.. very nice to see a GOOD religious poem, after reading some of the *other* poems i've read today :) I like how you manage to present your religion in an ACCEPTING and TOLERANT manner, rather than all close-minded and ignorant :D Very nice... |
SliceOfSanity 2004-01-04 . chapter 1M. So you've dug up this old poem to prove your point.
It proves nothing, save for the fact that you are intolerant to *my* beliefs.
I am entitled to my opinion, including my opinions of Wicca, whether you agree with them or not. Calling me various names (intolerant, hateful, stupid, ignorant, woeful, etc.) doesn't help your cause.
