I think you're a really talented writer. I really can't believe how good this is. I love how slowly we learn more and more about the characters. Like piece by piece you're putting a puzzle together. I saw only a few problems with grammar, but even published authors do that. I guess that's what editors are for. Though at the moment I'm kind of going "huh" Because it's 2008 and you last updated in 2005! And I thought this was supposed to be part of a series.
I hope you update soon! I would not be surprised if one day you're a published author.
