Yes. This is good. Blood is spilled in great wars for centuries and centuries all in the name of religion, nationalism...err, I guess that's it.

This style seems like it would almost work better as a story. Perhaps if you put a little more context in or described just one or two of the dying, this would have more of an impact. If you want to keep it a poem, I would suggest trying to find a rhythm and, again, adding some context. This has a very good idea, it just needs a little more development.
