You're right, you're L.A. teacher is a strange man. I hope he likes a bit of humor. I loved it. I like humor and the subject matter was extremely intriguing.
I'm kind of strange too, so I think your teach is gonna love it. A+, for sure.

You don't have to start a new paragraph when the captain talks again because no one talked inbetween the time. Also the line "With his dark green...he arrived...cavern," should be reworded, it was confusing to read, have him arrive at the cavern start it then add the cloak part. Other than that nicely done.
