Hey, I was wondering if this story is discontinued or perhaps you have lost interest in writing this story? You haven't updated this story for quite a while now. I hope that you will pick it up again in the future because this story has so much potential. I enjoyed reading it so far.

I finally finished reading this (after 3 nights of staying up till 4am reading and being exhausted all day at uni haha) and then I realised you haven't updated in almost a year.

I love the plot, love the characters, love your writing style (it's definitely improved over time, but it is, by far, better than mine was back in 04).

I like the intertwining stories, like the love stories, though they are all very very slow. I could go on, but since it's 4am and I'm already sleep deprived thanks to you I'm going to sleep. But please, please do update this. I'd be so sad if it was discontinued...

wow. I read this whole story for two days non-stop. when I first found it, I expected to read a chapter or two here and there... but once i started i just couldn't stop. I'm completely smitten with this story.

I've actually never read a story with so many pairings that i could ACTUALLY keep track of. There all so completely unique that I never get of any of them.

and the fluff between Shanza and Ikeda is so PERFECT... it makes me melt into a pile of goo every time. I mean that in the best way possible.

I can't wait until Rega and Kaezik's reunion. I simply adore pirate's therefore I'm a major Riga fan.

Shumba and Ryunne were such a pleasant surprise. Originally I thought Shumba and Erakil had something going on. (don't ask me how i got to that conclusion... i couldn't tell you)

So what I'm trying to say is you have written an amazing story so far and I blame you for my recent decline in outdoor activity.

So I read it again. (I really love this story) And I have predictions. =D I want to know if I'm anywhere near what you had in mind. ... I really want to know what happens next.

I think Ryunne has the Gift. I think Elmira has been using those Amcella Bulb things that she gave Shanza to hide whatever color his eyes normally are, because it turns eyes brown and Methrians should have brown eyes and it messes with eyesight and Ryunne had to put the note from Shanza to the village leader way far out from his face and I had to do something similar when I realized I needed glasses.

I think Kaezik is the Lion. 'Cause he's definitely in love with Riga and Riga got help from that lion that was so determined to see him to safety when he was in the process of being kidnapped by slavers. And it fits real nice because no one would expect the brother of the Dragon and he's probably already been tested or something.

Final one: I think Riga is the Phoenix. 'Cause he's definitely in love with Kaezik and he said that he had that "pheonix feather" earring (that's a stretch)and he's a pirate and pirates don't test their people to find out if they have a god's chosen.

And doesn't it make sense that if the Dragon and the Serpent have been married and are/in (falling) love, that the Pheonix and the Lion will be in the same situation? Because there ARE four gods.

And I'm almost positive that I'm making sense but if I'm not you can always post another chapter and tell me so I can review and explain... Please?

Dear God I actually, finally made it to the end. I feel so proud XD
Seriously, I started reading this story months ago! So now I have a lot to say, at least.
I love the descriptions of the characters, surroundings, and emotions; it really makes you feel like you're there. The plot is also wonderful, as it seems to have been separated into different story arcs. Do you have it all planned out, or do you just go with the flow? Do you know how long RotD is going to be?
One of the things I don't like, however, is the length of the chapters. Seeing how long the first chapter was initially put me off reading it, but once I got started I loved it. I'm saying this because a lot of people don't have the time to sit down and read something so massively long, and with most browsers even if you set it as your homepage, you would still have to remember where you're up to. Fortunately, I don't have this problem, but I'm sure a lot of people do.
Another thing that irkes me a little is having the review replies at the bottom of the page. I don't know why, but it does. Maybe it's because it makes the chapter seem longer than it is, so when you're enjoying it, you think there's still heaps to go, and then there isn't. Maybe it's just me...
Anyway, this is a wonderful story so far, and I can't wait for the next chapter, though get the feeling it's going to be a long way away...
Have you ever thought about getting this published? I think it's certainly print-worthy, and I'd buy it. That way I could just stick a bookmark in, and the long chapters wouldn't bother me XD

I absolutely love this story... it is FANTASTIC. I love the way you've made the charaacters seem, especially Shumba, Ikeda and Shanza. I cant wait to find out what happens to Riga and Kaezik either and I'm dying to know if Shumba and Ryune get together too. By the way how is Ryunne's name pronounced?? is it like Rune or more like Ryan? Or a mix?

Anyways... I really really hope you get the next one out soon coz.. as I said before, I can't wait to see what happens next. I cant wait to find out when Ikeda and Shanza actaully get together too, it's like the most sexually tense relationship ever... apart from Shumba's slightly phedophilic love of Ryunne but that hasn't being gping on nearly hlaf as long... Also are the other dawns gonna be Kaezik-the phenoix and Ria- the lion?

Well... I really hope the next one is just as brilliant as the others...

Wow, this story is... well, amazing! I swear, probably one of the best I've read. It's also amazing how you were able to create this fantasy world... that seems so realistic!
I don't know what to say other than that it's absolutely AMAZING! AMAZING I TELL YOU!
The characters are all very well-developed, and makes the reader... connect to them, if you know what I mean, haha.
Like some of the other people, I'm getting the feeling that Riga and Kaezik are the missing Dawns.. are we right?

Ferns don't produce flowers, they have spore sacs. Seriously.

Hey, I just thought I should point out, so you knew... Shumba's eyes go from brown to amber... yea. I do that too. Just thought you would want to know... yea.

I LOVE THIS STORY! I love it to death. I've read it and reread it several times now. I LOVE THIS STORY! :D

Wow... I don't think I ever read this last chapter, until now. I'm glad I decided to reread this whole thing and found it! I'd hate for you to feel as if I'd forgotten you.

I'm really interested in the whole I-presume-Ryunne-is-gifted thing. I've wondered for a while, but the medicine that changes eye colour and the insistence on gloves... I wonder if he's a laverna, and has scars between his fingers from trying to heal without rings on or something? Hmm. I'll be watching with intrigue to see what develops there. And I think the relationship thing between Shumba and Ryunne is developing nicely, despite the age difference and the guilt... just to say go you.

As for the other things - I'm gleeful about the further developments between Shanza and Ikeda! Looks like they may eventually have a sex life after all. I liked the way it was done, too - very romantic and vulnerable.

I'm not going to ramble for too long, but I do want some resolution to Kaezik and Riga, too! I'm worried about them both. And also have been recently wondering... originally I thought Kaezik was the lion - the dance, the messy hair equalling messy mane - and that Riga was the phoenix. But they keep having visions of the other one! Which confuses me because that didn't happen to Kaezik and Ikeda. May have said something like this in a previous review, but who knows. Oh well.

In any case, I'm still thoroughly enjoying this story, and looking forward to the next update - which I don't plan to miss.

This is ridiculous - there are stories with thousands of reviews that aren't half as good as this one.

First of all, I really love this story! It's just the kind of book I usually read, except with less slash, because you just can't find too many books with slash. Apparently people find that stuff in bookstores offensive. Bastards.

But, back to the story, I really love the couples. They warm my heart. Shanza and Ikeda, no matter how much of a toughie Ikeda thinks he is, are classified in my mind as 'the cuddly couple'. I loved that 'fight' they had in chapters 26-27. I mean, I know it was serious for them, but it just showed me how much of a cuddly, sweet couple they were, especially when they both opened the door at the same time and HUGGED! ...And cuddling instead of having sex, that showed it, too. xD

Kaizik and Riga are 'the sexy couple', if you ask me, because Kaezik is cheerful and lively, while Riga is a vixen pirate. Come on, that *has* to mean they'll be a wild couple later on, while Ikeda and Shanza are the settled, married couple. xD I knew Kaezik and Riga were the lion and the phoenix as soon as Riga said his earing was a phoenix feather. They're seeing one another's Gods, right? But I don't understand why the phoenix/firebird/dragon blinded Kaezik. Was the God angry because Kaezik didn't protect Riga? And did the lion's being blinded in one eye foreshadow Kaezik's blindness? Also, all of the couples are happy. Why aren't they? Everyone else, at least relationship wise, left off fluffy, but you're breaking my heart with Riga and Kaezik. Thing's have to get better soon, promise?

Shumba and Ryunne are my second favorite, I have to say, because things are so lighthearted with them. I love how Ryunne is a bit like Shanza, but can reply aptly to Shumba's wit in charming ways that Shanza can't. They're a cute couple. And I cackle at Shumba's pedophilia plight. They are, to me, 'the comic relief couple'. They aren't unimportant or anything, but they're the most light and airy couple. I love them. :)

What about poor Erakil, though? I haven't noticed anything with him, pairing-wise. At first I thought he and Shumba would be a couple, but I have to say, even before I read about Ryunne, it didn't feel quite right to me. So I'm glad Ryunne came along, cute thing that he is. But who does that leave for Erakil?

Lastly, and this has nothing to do with pairings, why don't you get published? Trust me, I read a lot, and as such I am deserving of the title of 'novel critic'. This definitely can be a GREAT novel, with a large fanbase, too, I'd think. You have everything plotted out, the chapters are beautifully long, the descriptions are perfect, and the characters are developing quite nicely. I see the change in them, but they haven't done anything drastic or unbelievable. Perfect. Some publishers you should consider are 'Bantam Book's which published another fantasy/slash book that I liked, Havemercy. Alyson Publications, which published another slash/fantasy book, which isn't nearly as good as RotD. Blind Eye Books, which published Wicked Gentlemen, an amazing slash story. I could go on and on. Don't dispute me, do it, because I did just look up all these possible publishers. Trust me, it'll sell, so no modesty! Also, slash-based books sell well online, so you should try selling online. That'll work. :)

Anyway, update soon. You left off on a not-so-nice (for Kaezik and Riga) place, and I'd really like to know what's going on. So yeah. I'm guessing that the Armada guy, forgot his name, found out Riga was a Dawn, which is why he wants him. There was a lot of foreshadowing which helped lead up to this conclusion. *Grins* But really, why is Kaezik blind? I have to know. I have to. So update. Pretty, pretty please. Okay, I'm done with my nearly 700 word long review. *Puppy eyes*

OMGosh, I love this story! I can't wait for the next chapter! Please don't hold it hostage! I'll fight you for it! =]
