godawful teen-angst poetry 2004-02-05 . chapter 1Before I get into the subject matter...lovely poem. Third stanza, especially the first line of it, was awesome. And such a sweet gesture.
As to why Black Rider left...that's actually...partially...my fault...but it was totally his choice and his alone. He left after he posted an anthology called Snow over LaGuardia in which he used a style of stream of conscious poetry that was quite different from his usual style, and I said so...I don't know. I think he got a lot of negative feedback on a few poems in that anthology, and then he decided that he had conmpromised his artistic integrity for this new style, or some such--and so left for a while to "find his poetic soul." I hope he does, and I hope he returns, because he's one of my favorites; I really hope he doesn't just endup leaving permanently...because that would make me really sad. But if he does return, I think it will be worth it to get the real Rider again, no?
