i love it. It seems like an old fashioned sort of poem... in a good way.

"And an uncaged bird that will always sing.
Write me a book that will never end."
These were the verses I liked most.
It seems to me that you could use some additional work with the meter, but since I'm not really a poet, I could be completely wrong about this.
On the other hand, the imagery and the metaphors were beautifully worked out. One objection, though; truths usually keep people away, not lull them to sleep, unfortunately.
Overall, a good poem, a refreshing change from teenage suicide/angst that dominates FPcom.
